This coming Saturday (March 12, 1pm), Janet Lobberecht will give an informal artist talk in our Project Space, discussing her current series of prints entitled “Sectionals,” and her ongoing exploration of the printmaking and drawing mediums.
Saturday, March 19 at 1pm > Last Look: Ethiopian Sounds featuring Teshome Yimer and Beytubekii
The following Saturday (March 19, 1pm), join us for an exciting afternoon of music by two local Ethiopian music groups. Teshome Yimer is an Ethiopia native who las lived in the US for 25+ years. His set, perfected over years as the house musician for several venues in Washington, D.C., is an eclectic mix of Ethiopian traditional tunes and American Soul covers. Beytubekii are a young Oromo band playing traditional and original works for keyboard and voice.
